Who can receive developmental therapy?
Children 3 through 18 years old that have been diagnosed with a developmental disability are eligible to receive developmental therapy. Examples of eligible diagnoses include: Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Mental Retardation, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Epilepsy.
Where will the therapy take place?
Therapy happens in the child’s home and in approved community locations, such as local parks, libraries, and stores. Center based services are also available at 6855 W Fairview Ave., Ste 120, Boise ID 83704.
What will the developmental therapy sessions look like?
The Developmental Therapist works one-on-one with the child performing therapy objectives in a play-based format. Examples of objectives include putting together a puzzle, tying shoes, playing a board game, or matching shapes and colors.
