Who will do the therapy with my child?
Our developmental therapists have experience working with children. They must also have a Bachelor’s degree or be working towards obtaining their degree. All employees must pass a criminal background check and have current first aid and CPR certification prior to providing any therapy services.
When does the therapy happen?
The therapy schedule is created cooperatively between the family and the therapist. A consistent schedule is developed and therapy typically occurs each day or every other day. Some weekend and evening therapy is available as well.
What type of training do employees get?
All employees have the opportunity to shadow developmental, speech, occupational, and physical therapists’ sessions before providing therapy services. They are also expected to maintain twelve hours of continuing education throughout the year focusing on topics related to children with special needs. Developmental therapists have weekly contact with the Developmental Specialist as well as monthly observations/training to improve their technique and gain feedback
regarding their therapy sessions.
