What is physical therapy?
Physical therapy is the treatment consisting of exercising specific parts of the body such as the legs, arms, hands or neck, in order to increase flexibility, strength, mobility, and functionality. Physical therapists seek to improve an individual’s physical performance through the use of exercises and training that enables an individual to overcome trauma resulting from illness or injury.
What is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy treatment that allows individuals to live their lives normally with independence and satisfaction. It helps people to master the “job of living” through treatment that increases mobility, flexibility, coordination, and overall physical performance. Occupational therapy also seeks to understand and overcome the physical, social, and emotional trauma associated with illness or injury.
